Night Time Cotton explores the landscape after dark, when colour softens and imagination takes the lead. This three-part watercolour series continues my ongoing exploration of cotton as both subject and symbol, blending the country landscape with a sense of surreal movement.

At night, the cotton fields shift. Forms dissolve, edges blur, and the land takes on a quiet unpredictability. Inspired by my coastal ties, the cotton becomes a drifting wash, echoing the motion of white water along the shoreline. What appears still in daylight begins to move, breathe, and transform.
